NRPCA Rockin’ for Kids Benefit Concert
The North Rosedale Civic Association, Playground Rescue Group, is a diverse group of volunteer parents. Our goal is to take away the barriers to exclusion, both physical and social. According to U.S. Census, one in five people have a disability, yet most playgrounds aren’t built to accommodate them.
Headlining this benefit fundraiser is the accomplished band, LORAX. Performing music ranging from Hendrix to B.B. King. Detroiters, pack the house at the famous Motor City Blues at Burt’s, just to hear this young, talented band play. We are thrilled to have them on our very own stage.
By purchasing a ticket today, it will enable us to raise enough funds for a wheelchair-accessible surface and play equipment for disabled, sensory-sensitive kids. A safe place where children of all abilities can play together.
Looking for a dinner option at the Benefit Concert? Detroit’s Original Seafood Truck (Detroit Shrimp and Fish) and Cat Tail will be serving up dinner options all night. A portion of the proceeds will also go to benefit the playground!
