NRP Walk Group

The Walk Group continues indoors during the winter months! Join us for health, fun, and fitness! Whether this is your first step toward a healthier lifestyle or just a new activity to freshen up your existing exercise routine, walking is it! Every strength level and mobility is accommodated.

Lose those unwanted pounds and reduce the risk of heart disease, strokes and increase energy while walking off the stressors of life. Walk for your best health and stay fit for life “One Step At A Time”. Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays 5:30pm to 6:30p at North Rosedale Park Community House 18445 Scarsdale Street Detroit, Michigan 48223.

HUSTLE with Lady P

Come join us for dancing, fun, & exercise! Learn new and old line dances at the North Rosedale Park Community House, 18445 Scarsdale on Tuesdays. The cost is $5!

Hustle In The Park Tuesday Nights with Instructor Paulette Brown aka "Lady P". Do you want to learn how to do "The Wobble",  "The Biker’s Shuffle"; and many more hustles, old and new? Then Join Us! Let’s Hustle into that desired health the fun way, one Wobble, Shuffle and a roll at a time. Cost: $5 Time: 5:30-6:30pm.

Eugene Plowden's Martial Arts Youth Classes

Youth Martial Arts classes will begin at the Community House on August 14th! Classes will run each Tuesday and Thursday for three age brackets. See below for details:

-4-6 year old 5:15-6:00pm
-7 and up, whitebelts 6:00pm-6:45pm
-Gold belts and up 6:45-7:30pm

Cost is $80.00 per month.

Zumba with Agatha Gordon

 Wednesday evening Zumba returns to the Community House in June. Join instructor Agatha Gordon every Wednesday from 6 - 7pm. The cost for class is $7.00. Bring your towel, water and friend and be prepared to dance!

411 Drama Club

On the second and fourth Saturday on the month, the 411 Drama Club will teach acting techniques, stage presence, script writing, improv and more for free at the North Rosedale Park Community House, 18445 Scarsdale St.

Paper Flower Workshop

Calling All Paper Flower and Design Enthusiasts! Want to learn how to make beautiful handmade paper flowers? Here's your chance! The Design Club of North Rosedale Park Civic Association (NRPCA) is proud to present an inspiring hands-on flower workshop facilitated by designer and event producer Kiana Wenzell on Saturday, March 9th from 9:30 to 11am at the Community House.

Sew Your Own, Sewing Class

The Design Club of NRP Community House presents a leveling up learning experience to those of you who have a desire to learn the tactical art of sewing. Classes offered will cover Beginners to Advance, setting a solid foundation for “Leveling up Lessons”. Registration will be held on March 4th and 11th, classes began March 18th.

Classes: March 4– April 29. The March 4th and 11th class includes registrations, getting to know the sewing room, need assessment and setup information. The March the 18th is when the sewing begins. Please bring Your Sewing Machines to all sessions.

Time: 6:45-8:30
Cost: 95$ (Ages 8-12), Beginner - Intermediate 130$ (Ages 13-17) - 145$ (Ages 18- up) and Advance 210$ (The Cost Covers
all Eight Weeks)
